Defining the Audience & Objectives
I collaborated with the Origeen team to construct personas that reflect their typical clients and determine the specific target audience for the website, in an effort to gain a deeper understanding of the audience.
One of the key challenge we identified was how to provide a great experience for both business owners and individuals and which tone of voice to choose for the brand to sound professional but not cold
Then we used the personas insights to identify the key content to be featured on the site and the key messages to be delivered. This resulted into a sitemap with a list of pages and the topics to be covered in each (testimonials, cases studies...
Sitemap & pages layout wireframes
In this step, I turned the sitemap & pages into Wireframes to test the User experience (structure, hierarchy, navigation…). Wireframes are voluntarily build without colors and assets so the discussion remains focus on layout usability and UX
I structured the home page to set the stage and provide an overview of the site while teasing the visitor to check the services, Team, Career and News pages.
As building trust is one of the hardest things to do when you are launching a new business, I have included social proof elements (a slider with logo of prestigious partner and a clients section currently hidden while testimonials are being collected) in strategic positions, and centered the content around the expert founder profile with quotes and a short biography section
High resolution mockups
Origeen Investissements is a wealth management company: they accompany their clients to build their future through investments with a long term vision.
To describe their activity, they use words like “foundations”, “building, “structure”, “future”, “stable”, “regulations” that are borrowed from architecture. When you know that they are based in Paris, it makes sense that we used images of Paris historical buildings to create a unique look & feel for their website
(I wrote a complete blog post explaining how to choose visuals for your website here)
For visual design, I have used geometrical shapes inspired from building & architecture and used offset to break the layout and make it more dynamic. I have enforced this dynamism with fluid animations on text scroll and images hover.
Finally I have used the orange in the logo as an accent color that highlights all the navigation links across the site
Responsive & performant website
I have chosen Webflow to develop the website as this no code web builder offers a lot of design flexibility without the need to write code. I used this flexibility to make final design adjustments directly during the building phase and publish the website fast and before the stretched deadline
I have used Webflow robust CMS to power the news, career and team pages which makes it very easy for Origeen team to update their sites as they grow
To improve fluidity, I have used the native Webflow on scroll animation to delay elements rendering, create movement and attract attention to the call to action elements
